Self-exclusion, deposit limits and time-outs

Limiting tools work best when they are set before they are needed. This page explains the tools common in online casino accounts and, often forgotten, the ones on your own payment side. We cannot confirm which tools exist on your Ekatoto account; check the profile menu.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps how much can be paid in per day, week or month. With many operators, lowering the limit takes effect at once, while raising it only applies after a waiting period. The delay is deliberate: it gives you time to reconsider while the urge to play is strong.

Time limits and reality checks

A reality check shows a message after a set time; a session limit ends the session automatically. Both help because time moves faster while playing.

Time-outs

A time-out locks the account for a set period, during which deposits and play are blocked. It is useful when you need some distance, for example after a bad session.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is the firmest step: the account is closed for a long period and usually cannot be reopened before it ends. Before applying, withdraw any remaining balance to an account in your own name. Exclusion at one brand does not automatically apply at others; if you hold several accounts, apply at each.

Limits on the payment side

The tools that do not depend on any operator are on your own phone. Lower the transaction limit in your banking app, keep the entertainment wallet separate from your salary account, remove saved payment methods from casino accounts, and switch off pay-later or loan features linked to your wallet. If it helps, ask someone you trust to hold access to the entertainment wallet for a while. These limits apply wherever you try to deposit, not just at one brand.

Talking to someone

Telling one trusted person about the limits you have set makes them easier to keep. They do not need to police you; it is enough that they are there to talk to when the urge comes.

Where to find help

Readers in Indonesia can reach the Ministry of Health's mental health service (SEJIWA / Healing119.id) on 119 extension 8, free of charge, or at healing119.id. It is a general mental health line, not a gambling-specific one; as of September 2026 we found no national helpline in Indonesia dedicated to gambling addiction. Readers elsewhere should contact their own country's public health service. General guidance is on the responsible gambling page.

Why earlier is better

A limit set on registration day does not feel like a sacrifice. A limit set after a heavy loss feels like a punishment and is broken more often. Set it while your head is clear.
